Finally free after 20 years of being held hostage by my nicotine addiction
I am closing in on a month of not smoking a single cigarette. When I went out for drinks last Friday and didn't even crave a cigarette, that's when I knew I was done and I've won.
The past two years saw me taking back control of key aspects of my life-- I took back control of my career, I took control of my weight, and I'm happy to finally have taken back control and free myself from an addiction which had kept me hostage for the last 20 years.
And I have honestly never felt better.
Fuck smoking. Smoking my first cigarette is easily the biggest regret I have in life.
